Wildflower Seeds Gift Set

The Seedball Wildflower Seeds Gift Set allows you to pick your favourite wildflower seed balls and create a personalised gift for children that love nature. The gift set comes in a card box filled with raffia and three Seedball Tins of your choice. 

Seedballs are great for children who want to help their garden wildlife thrive by sowing wildflowers. They are very simple to use as they don't require any digging and can just be scattered!

The balls are made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The latter protects the seeds from hungry birds and insects. Each ball contains around 30 seeds and in each tin there are 20 balls. The seed mix vary depending on the type of tin and for the gift set we have chosen a combination of the following: 

Artist Meadow Tin: Common Poppy, Oxeye Daisy, Musk Mallow, Corn Marigold, Purple Field Scabious, Red Campion and White Cow Parsley.

Poppy Mix Tin: Each ball contains around 100 seeds of Common Poppy.

Shade Mix Tin: Bellflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow Buttercup, Meadowsweet, Oxeye Daisy, Ragged Robin and Red Campion.

Sky Meadow Tin: Cornflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow Cranesbill, Self Heal and Wild Clary.

Cloud Meadow Tin: Each seed ball contains approximately 50 seeds from a mix of Meadowsweet, Oxeye Daisy, White Campion, White Clover, and Yarrow.

Hedgehog Mix Tin: Yellow Rattle, Wild Carrot, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Tufted Vetch, Self Heal and Poppy.

Bee Mix Tin: Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss, Wild Marjoram. 

Butterfly Mix Tin: Forget-me-not, Musk Mallow, Purple Loosestrife, Red Campion, Yarrow.

The Seedballs are best sown in Spring and Autumn by throwing them onto soil/compost in a planter or garden bed. It is recommended that at least 10cm distance is kept between the balls. The content of the tin would normally cover around a square metre while 3 to 5 balls would suffice for a 35cm container.
